Our Story
Starting as a small cafe with a lot of heart, Calgary’s Oolong Tea House has brought the community together for 25 + years.
We have had the pleasure of watching first dates blossom into true love tales. Best friend’s gather in our space and laugh together for hours. Reunions, goodbyes, or even just a peaceful moment alone. A shared pot of tea in our cafe in the Kensington neighbourhood has been a part of many’s story.
Just 3 years ago, we expanded to open our second cafe in Inglewood, Calgary.
And it is thanks to those many years of patronage that we had the opportunity to bring our passion for tea across Canada. Which is where we introduce, KiNDLY Loose Leaf Tea.
We have a fervor for the ritual of tea, and aim to bring Canadians the highest quality loose leaf tea, sourced internationally and delivered right to their door.
Located in the city where our story began, our team will blend and pack your orders with care in our newly opened Tea Atelier.

How do you choose the teas you carry?
Every tea in our online collection has been thoughtfully curated through years of conversations, recommendations, and customer favourites from our retail store. Our in-person community has helped shape the selection you'll find online, so you can shop a collection that's been loved and enjoyed by tea drinkers just like you.
Do you ship internationally?
At this time, we only ship within Canada. We’re working on expanding our shipping options and hope to offer international delivery in the future so more tea lovers around the world can enjoy our collection.
What’s your return policy?
We offer a 30-day flavour guarantee on all of our teas. If you try a tea and it’s not quite what you expected, please reach out to us within 30 days of purchase. We’ll be happy to issue a credit toward your next purchase so you can find something you truly love. Our goal is to make sure every cup is one you enjoy.

What kind of packaging do you use?
Our packaging is fully recyclable and designed with freshness in mind. We’ve chosen materials that help protect the quality and flavour of our teas for longer, while still keeping sustainability in mind. Unlike compostable options that can sometimes allow more air and moisture in, our packaging helps better preserve freshness so your tea tastes just as good as the day it was packed.
How do you approach social responsibility and donation requests?
We’re committed to working with and supporting brands, events, and initiatives that align with our values and mission. As a small business, we receive a high volume of requests for complimentary products and sponsorships for events, and while we wish we could support everyone, we’re not able to accommodate all requests. We carefully prioritize opportunities where we can make a meaningful impact and align with causes and communities that reflect what we stand for.
